1

But if we examined ourselves, we would not be judged. But when we are judged by the Lord, we are disciplined so that we may not be condemned with the world. 1Co 11:31-32

2

A shoot will grow out of Jesseʼs root stock,

a bud will sprout from his roots.

The LORDʼs spirit will rest on him -

a spirit that gives extraordinary wisdom,

a spirit that provides the ability to execute plans,

a spirit that produces absolute loyalty to the LORD.

He will take delight in obeying the LORD.

He will not judge by mere appearances,

or make decisions on the basis of hearsay.

He will treat the poor fairly,

and make right decisions for the downtrodden of the earth.

He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth,

and order the wicked to be executed.

Isa 11:1-4

3

From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, and forceful people lay hold of it. Mat 11:12

4

My goal is that their hearts, having been knit together in love, may be encouraged, and that they may have all the riches that assurance brings in their understanding of the knowledge of the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Col 2:2-3

5

So we must not grow weary in doing good, for in due time we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who belong to the family of faith. Gal 6:9-10

6

The one who is slack in his work

is a brother to one who destroys.

Pro 18:9

7

The name of the LORD is like a strong tower;

the righteous person runs to it and is set safely on high.

Pro 18:10

8

Death and life are in the power of the tongue,

and those who love its use will eat its fruit.

Pro 18:21

9

A person who has friends may be harmed by them,

but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

Pro 18:24

10

Listen to advice and receive discipline,

that you may become wise by the end of your life.

Pro 19:20

11

I have seen personally what is the only beneficial and appropriate course of action for people:

to eat and drink, and find enjoyment in all their hard work on earth

during the few days of their life which God has given them,

for this is their reward.

To every man whom God has given wealth, and possessions,

he has also given him the ability

to eat from them, to receive his reward and to find enjoyment in his toil;

these things are the gift of God.

For he does not think much about the fleeting days of his life

because God keeps him preoccupied with the joy he derives from his activity.

Ecc 5:18-20

12

“All things are lawful for me” - but not everything is beneficial. “All things are lawful for me” - but I will not be controlled by anything. 1Co 6:12

13

(IT IS WITH THE FLESH WE SINNING, NOT WITH OUR OWN WILL TO HURT GOD AS MOTIVE.)

For if we deliberately keep on sinning after receiving the knowledge of the truth, no further sacrifice for sins is left for us, but only a certain fearful expectation of judgment and a fury of fire that will consume Godʼs enemies. Hey 10:26-27

14

(Blaspheming the Holy Spirit; If you are afraid of it, then you haven’t committed that sin.)

For this reason I tell you, people will be forgiven for every sin and blasphemy, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven. But whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come. Mat 12:21-32

15

So as you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but chosen and priceless in Godʼs sight, you yourselves, as living stones, are built up as a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood and to offer spiritual sacrifices that are acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 1Pet 2:4-5

16

So then you are no longer foreigners and noncitizens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of Godʼs household, because you have been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the cornerstone. In him the whole building, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling place of God in the Spirit. Eph 2:19-22

17

And to the one who conquers and who continues in my deeds until the end, I will give him authority over the nations -

he will rule them with an iron rod

and like clay jars he will break them to pieces,

just as I have received the right to rule from my Father - and I will give him the morning star.

Rev 2:26-28

18

The one who conquers I will make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he will never depart from it. I will write on him the name of my God and the name of the city of my God (the new Jerusalem that comes down out of heaven from my God), and my new name as well. Rev 3:12

19

Who is this coming up from the desert,

leaning on her beloved?

SS 8:5a

20

Therefore, be imitators of God as dearly loved children and live in love, just as Christ also loved us and gave himself for us, a sacrificial and fragrant offering to God. Eph 5:1-2

21

for you were at one time darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of the light - for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness, and truth - Eph 5:8-9

22

Offspring of vipers! How are you able to say anything good, since you are evil? For the mouth speaks from what fills the heart. The good person brings good things out of his good treasury, and the evil person brings evil things out of his evil treasury. I tell you that on the day of judgment, people will give an account for every worthless word they speak. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” Mat 12:34-37

23

You who love the LORD, hate evil!

He protects the lives of his faithful followers;

he delivers them from the power of the wicked.

The godly bask in the light;

the morally upright experience joy.

You godly ones, rejoice in the LORD!

Give thanks to his holy name.

Psa 97:10-12

24

But the path of the righteous is like the bright morning light,

growing brighter and brighter until full day.

The way of the wicked is like gloomy darkness;

they do not know what causes them to stumble.

Pro 4:18-19

25

At that time

the LORD will remove their burden from your shoulders,

and their yoke from your neck;

the yoke will be taken off because your neck will be too large.

Isa 10:27

26

Yet, LORD, you are our father.

We are the clay, and you are our potter;

we are all the product of your labor.

Isa 64:8

27

The LORD said to Jeremiah: “Go down at once to the potterʼs house. I will speak to you further there.” So I went down to the potterʼs house and found him working at his wheel. Now and then there would be something wrong with the pot he was molding from the clay with his hands. So he would rework the clay into another kind of pot as he saw fit.

Then the LORD said to me, “I, the LORD, say: ʻO nation of Israel, can I not deal with you as this potter deals with the clay? In my hands, you, O nation of Israel, are just like the clay in this potterʼs hand.ʼ Jer 18:1-6

28

For the sake of my servant Jacob,

Israel, my chosen one,

I call you by name

and give you a title of respect, even though you do not recognize me.

I am the LORD, I have no peer,

there is no God but me.

I arm you for battle, even though you do not recognize me.

I do this so people will recognize from east to west

that there is no God but me;

I am the LORD, I have no peer.

Isa 45:4-6

29

“Just as the Father has loved me, I have also loved you; remain in my love. If you obey my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Fatherʼs commandments and remain in his love. I have told you these things so that my joy may be in you, and your joy may be complete. My commandment is this - to love one another just as I have loved you. No one has greater love than this - that one lays down his life for his friends. Jn 15:9-13

30

You are my friends if you do what I command you. I no longer call you slaves, because the slave does not understand what his master is doing. But I have called you friends, because I have revealed to you everything I heard from my Father. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit, fruit that remains, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name he will give you. This I command you - to love one another. Jn 15:14-17

31

Pay attention and come to me!

Listen, so you can live!

Then I will make an unconditional covenantal promise to you,

just like the reliable covenantal promises I made to David.

Isa 55:3
