 1.God commands it

Mat 28:18-20 

Then Jesus came up and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 28:20 teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Acts 1:8

1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the farthest parts of the earth.”

 

2.Jesus is the only way to God

John 14:6 

14:6 Jesus replied, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Acts 4:12 

4:12 And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among people by which we must be saved.”

 

3. Hell/perdition is a reality

Mat 7:13f 

7:13 “Enter through the narrow gate, because the gate is wide and the way is spacious that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. 7:14 But the gate is narrow and the way is difficult that leads to life, and there are few who find it.

2 Thess 1:8-9 

1:8 With flaming fire he will mete out punishment on those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. 1:9 They will undergo the penalty of eternal destruction,away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his strength,

 

4. People´s deepest need is to be reconciled to God

2 Cor 5:18-20 

5:18 And all these things are from God who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and who has given us the ministry of reconciliation. 5:19 In other words, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting people’s trespasses against them, and he has given us the message of reconciliation. 5:20 Therefore we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making His plea through us. We plead with you on Christ’s behalf, “Be reconciled to God!”

Col 1:21f

1:21 And you were at one time strangers and enemies in your minds as expressed through your evil deeds, 1:22 but now he has reconciled you by his physical body through death to present you holy, without blemish, and blameless before him –

 

5. We cannot keep silent about what we have experienced

Acts 4:20 

4:20 for it is impossible for us not to speak about what we have seen and heard.”

2 Cor 5:14-15

5:14 For the love of Christ controls us, since we have concluded this, that Christ died for all; therefore all have died. 5:15 And he died for all so that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised.

 

6. God rejoices when someone is saved

Luke 15:7,10,21ff

15:7 I tell you, in the same way there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous people who have no need to repent.

  

15:10 In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels over one sinner who repents.”

15:21 Then his son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you; I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ 15:22 But the father said to his slaves, ‘Hurry! Bring the best robe, and put it on him! Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet! 15:23 Bring the fattened calf and kill it! Let us eat and celebrate, 15:24 because this son of mine was dead, and is alive again – he was lost and is found!’ So they began to celebrate.

 

7. Jesus is coming soon

James 5:8 

5:8 You also be patient and strengthen your hearts, for the Lord’s return is near.

Rev 22:7,20

22:7 (Look! I am coming soon!
