A child of God 1 Jn 3:1f

3:1 (See what sort of love the Father has given to us: that we should be called God’s children – and indeed we are! For this reason the world does not know us: because it did not know him. 3:2 Dear friends, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that whenever it is revealed we will be like him, because we will see him just as he is.

 

Saved by grace Eph 2:8-9

2:8 For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God; 2:9 it is not from works, so that no one can boast.

 

Secure in his love Rom 8:35ff

8:35 Who will separate us from the love of Christ? 5:12 The one who has the Son has this eternal life; the one who does not have the Son of God does not have this eternal life.

Truly free

Jn 8:31f,36

 8:31 Then Jesus said to those Judeans who had believed him, “If you continue to follow my teaching, you are really my disciples 8:32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

8:36 So if the son sets you free, you will be really free.
